Providing public and museum libraries in England and Scotland access to a range of trusted online resources at significantly discounted prices through a flexible licence
What we offer
The Digital Library Licensing Service aims to provide public libraries, archives, and museum libraries with high quality digital content, discounted prices, and generous licensing terms.
High quality digital content
In consultation with librarians, we will identify trusted online resources that are important and relevant to your users. These will offer a wide range of digital content
to support lifelong learning.
Discounted prices
Resources will be offered at reduced subscription rates negotiated on your behalf. We understand your funding constraints and focus on providing value for your money with no restrictions on the numbers of users for each resource. We will consult with librarians to devise a price banding model for subscriptions that is accepted by local authorities and publishers.
Generous licensing terms
Resources will be provided using an agreed model licence that is straightforward and clear and allows the content to be used in ways that reflect the current digital environment. All resources will be procured under local and European procurement regulations and will conform to agreed standards.
